How we can help?
Oxfordshire Care and Support Options Service
Our independant Support Brokerage service can provide information, advice and short term support to help people find, choose and arrange help and care at home.
We can also suggest activities that people may like to help them live safely and independently.
Our experienced Support Brokers have a range of skills and expertise, and offer assistance to people in a very individualised way; recognising that not everyone will fit into traditional services and will have very different wishes and aspirations with how they would like to live their life.
There are many support services around who can offer help to people wishing to have support with planning and setting up care at home and some of these may make a charge for their services. AgeUK and Partners provides a FREE service to people who have received an assessment from the council and who are eligible to receive services at home. Our support brokerage helpline also offers a FREE advice line which anyone can access to receive some telephone advice and support from an independent support broker and care planner
All our support brokers and care planners have up to date enhanced criminal records checks and have completed Oxfordshire County Council’s Support with Confidence training and accreditation scheme which is in conjunction with the local Trading Standards. The scheme provides a level of assurance around the quality of the support brokerage and care planning service. For further information about the Support with Confidence Brokerage Scheme can be found on www.takingcontroloxon.org.uk web site.
Training and Consultancy Services
Our experienced team of trainers can provide a range of courses and consultancy to voluntary, third sector, private and statutory organisations.
